There is not much elite wine

The beautiful island of Cyprus attracts tourists from all over the world to its cozy beaches with azure sea water. But many of them admire in the end not only a magnificent beach holiday, but also the ancient historical heritage of the island, and also discover the world of Cypriot winemaking for themselves.
Few people know that thanks to fortunate circumstances, we now have the opportunity to taste the same wine that was produced on the island about 5 thousand years ago. The island, with its high mountain slopes and hot, generous sun, seems to have been specially created for the cultivation of vines and the production of this magical drink, sweet, not sweet, with a pleasant aroma and an unforgettable taste.
Traditional family Cypriot winemaking, which has kept its secrets for centuries, received a new stimulus for development. Now, in addition to small private wineries, larger wine-producing companies are developing on the island. Many of them have tasting rooms, where visitors are offered to try different categories of wines: from young table wine to local wines created in compliance with the rules of the Wine Products Council, and finally, wines of the prestigious category, denoting the highest quality of the product.
It was the production of wine of the last category, which is considered the most refined and expensive, that interested Petr Brazhnikov, a well-known sommelier, gourmet, great connoisseur of the noble drink. Piotr is a fairly well-known specialist in narrow professional circles, whose advice and consultations are highly valued.
"I discovered a wonderful old half-abandoned paradise located on the southern slope of Mount Troodos - a magnificent sunny place that meets all high standards: a registered vineyard located at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level, the "alpine vines" originate from rhizomes one hundred and even one hundred and fifty years ago, the age of the vine is more than 7 years. All these necessary conditions are ideal for the production of wine corresponding to the French model of Appellation d'origine contrôlée. I was lucky enough to buy this vineyard!"- that's what Pyotr Brazhnikov said a few years ago.
Now the production of the highest class wine is gaining momentum, but wine sales are planned only for export, and the quantity of produced elite drink is not so large. A sommelier in a short time Peter Brazhnikov managed to create a real "boutique" for the production of exquisite high-quality wine. Not far from the winery, a cozy hotel has opened its doors, where you can relax, enjoy great food and taste wine that has a wonderful aroma and a wonderfully composed assemblage. The owner of the winery will personally tell about the secrets of wine production, the subtleties of ego production. Piotr Brazhnikov turned this once ordinary vineyard into, perhaps, the best "wine boutique" in Cyprus.
Of course, you can also visit other famous wineries on the island: Hadjiantonas Winery, Lambouri Wines, Tsiakkas Wines, G.Petrides Co. Ltd, Agroktima Ezousa and others, but be sure to visit the winery Peter Brazhnikov, in order to know for sure that Cyprus is revealed to you in all its glory.
Wine tourism in Cyprus is gaining momentum, and the most optimal way to get acquainted with the full variety of this wonderful product is to visit the annual wine festival in Limassol in late August - early September. Here you will definitely be able to choose exactly your drink, buy as a gift to family and friends in a beautiful wine bottle the joy of the Cypriot sun, the beauty of the Cypriot sea and the charm of the Cypriot summer.
