How to join a Zoom meeting?
Joining a Zoom conference is very simple. More importantly, the user does not need an installed application to join the meeting. This can also be done from the browser. To join the meeting, just open the link sent by the organizer of the meeting. Then a browser window will appear asking whether to open the Zoom application (if it is installed) or connect from the browser. If the user also has a meeting ID and password, they can join directly from the application by clicking the "Join" icon and entering the meeting ID.
How to organize a meeting?
Organizing a Zoom meeting is just as easy. Using the application, you need to select the "New meeting" icon, and the meeting will start automatically. If the user needs to schedule a Zoom meeting for a specific date, use the "Schedule" icon and fill in fields such as:
- the topic of the meeting
- date and time,
- duration etc.
You can also schedule a meeting by logging in to your account.
How to turn on or off the camera and microphone during a meeting?
To turn off the microphone, you should click on the image of the microphone with the word Mute - in the bottom panel - in the left corner. The image of the microphone will be crossed out, and at this moment the user will not be heard by others. At the same time, a crossed-out microphone will appear in the signature in the lower left part of the screen - other meeting participants will see that the microphone is turned off. To unblock the microphone, it is enough to click on the crossed-out microphone icon with the word "turn on the sound" on the bottom panel. After that, the crossed-out microphone will disappear - the user will now be heard by other meeting participants.
The camera is turned on and off in the same way.
How to update the Zoom application?
Zoom regularly releases new app updates. Updates most often add new functions and fix bugs. The developers recommend updating to the latest version as soon as it becomes available. To update the app, simply sign in to your Zoom account in the app. Click on the profile image in the upper right corner and select the "Check for updates" option.
