UPG employees took part in a charity run in Kremenchuk

Throughout the year, charity sports activities are held in various cities of Ukraine. Some of the most popular formats are races, marathons and half marathons. In September 2021, residents of Kremenchuk accepted the baton, holding a charity run "Let's run - to save lives".

Representatives of well-known companies took part in the race, including employees of the UPG gas station. They ran both individually and as whole families. Representatives of the companies formed real teams of runners, who stood out with the corporate colors of their sports uniforms. Professional athletes also joined the race.

Given the diversity of the audience, the organizers of the event offered 4 options for distances:

1. 5 km – for beginners and children
2. 10 km – for more experienced runners
3. 15 km - for real athletes
4. 21 km is almost a distance of half a marathon, which 100 people dared to overcome.

Kyivska Street was chosen for the track - during the race, there was limited traffic on it. And although the weather on the day of the race was rainy, the employees of the local gas station UPG, who formed a real team of runners, noted that the mood of the participants was at a high level. After all, not only positive emotions remain after the finish, but also team spirit strengthened by sports challenges. Today, charity races are not only about sports, but also about help.

Participation in this race was paid - all participants made a contribution in the amount of 450 hryvnias, but, of course, the winner was not chosen. Each athlete who decided to run one of the four distances received a medal and a commemorative gift. All collected funds were transferred to the Poltava Regional Department of Pediatric Oncology, which treats children from all over the region. In particular, they plan to purchase a Thermo Scientific Cytospin 4 centrifuge.

The UPG company acted as a partner of the charity run

In addition to direct participation in the event, the network of quality fuel UPG became a partner of the race. This is not the first time for the company - UPG regularly supports sports events and initiatives throughout the country, because for them the social direction is an integral part of the development of responsible business in Ukraine and the world. Obviously, the race in Kremenchuk was no exception. Therefore, within the framework of partnership and assistance to the organizers of the UPG event, bonus cards for high-quality fuel of the UPG gas station network were drawn among the participants of the charity run. UPG employees who joined the race noted that it is twice as pleasant to work in a company that cares about such important events, especially if they concern children. The main thing is the opportunity to spend time with benefit not only for the participants, but also for the children who need our help.
