Charity does not always consist in gifts, financial or material assistance. Quite often, children's homes collect a huge amount of defective household appliances, which are very necessary for the organization of life, but it is impossible to repair them due to lack of money or a nearby workshop. Service center "Repair On top of it” began to organize charitable visits to children's homes to help with the repair and maintenance of equipment, which is extremely necessary for the organization of children's lives.
The first charity project of this type was the visit of specialists from the "Remont na domu" company to the "My Family" children's center, located near Kyiv. A whole team went on the trip, which included both representatives of the company's administration and the best craftsmen. In advance, the specialists of the service center, based on the words of the children's center staff, determined the possible malfunction of household appliances, which allowed them to immediately take the necessary appliances and spare parts with them. This made it possible to immediately restore the functionality of the malfunctioning equipment, without a second visit.
On the way to Khotyn, they stopped at one of the best supermarkets to buy snacks for children. Hotov is located not far from the district road, and it was not difficult to get there. Especially since the driver had already been to the orphanage before. They were already waiting for us near the gate. Part of our group immediately went to the children to communicate and give out gifts, and the masters together with the staff of the children's center went to the faulty equipment.
According to them, the most important appliance is a washing machine. We had two of them, but both were defective. They are not new, but from reliable manufacturers. With a stainless steel tank and a sufficient set of the most necessary functions. In the first of them, the drain pump and drain hose had to be replaced. New clamps were also installed on the hoses of the drain system and on the pump nozzles. To restore the second wiper, a new pressure switch was installed, the hose of this sensor was cleaned, and the hatch door cuff, which had several punctures, was replaced. After repair, both washers successfully passed the test wash and were immediately put into operation with a full load of the drum.
In addition to the washers, the dishwasher turned out to be non-working. This time everything was done by washing the filters and cleaning the internal surfaces. But so that it does not fail, we recommended regularly cleaning the filters and told how to do it correctly. In addition, we carried out preventive maintenance of all available household appliances.
We exchanged contacts and assured the staff that now their equipment is in safe hands and the master of the service center, if necessary, will leave at the first call. The employees of the children's center thanked the masters for the help they provided and promised to treat the equipment with care and perform preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
