Weeding
Necessary for good growth of vegetable crops. The amount of weeding and their frequency depend on the weediness of the site. It is necessary to weed repeatedly, as weeds grow gradually, especially actively in May and June. Vegetables of the pumpkin family are planted at a distance of about 30 cm from each other. Weeds that are in the middle of this distance must be pulled out by the root, those that are closer to the plant must be plucked below the cotyledon leaves. Thus, the roots of vegetable crops are not damaged and do not interfere with each other's growth. The rule of weeding: the slower the plant grows, the more weeding is needed. For example, carrots should be burned at least once a week.
Thinning
It is necessary that the plants have a sufficient feeding area. For the first time, this procedure is done as soon as a real letter appears. The distance between landings will increase slightly. Melons and cucumbers are thinned again after two weeks, and root crops after 25-30 days. Strong strong plants remain. The weaker ones are removed. Roots that have been pulled out of the ground can be used for food: carrots and beets with tops can be used to make a very healthy fresh salad or add to summer soup, for example, beetroot. Depending on the weather, the frequency and amount of watering is determined. It is clear that it is not necessary to water in the rain. In dry weather, plants should be watered twice a day: in the morning, when the sun is just starting to rise, and in the evening, when it sets. The amount of watering is determined by soil moisture. The soil should be moderately moist. You don't need a lot of moisture, otherwise you can flood the roots and the plant will die.
