At the end of 2020, the winners of the "Auto Leader 2020" Award were awarded in the capital of Ukraine. The award was given to the best automobile novelties of the year. When determining the winners, as communicated News of Ukraine the opinion of Ukrainian motorists was taken into account.
And so, more than a year has passed since the moment when the results were announced. Have the preferences of the residents of Ukraine changed during this time, and if so, how significantly? In order to answer this question, a special small study was conducted, which was based on the study of the frequency of user requests in search engines. Based on the results of these studies, a ranking of the models that won the "Auto Leader 2020" award was compiled.
Every year, companies that manufacture cars present their new models in Kyiv, with which they expect to conquer the car market. Residents of Ukraine annually choose the best models. There should be 16 winners in total, as there are only so many nominations.
So, according to the conducted research, two Skoda models are the most interesting for the residents of Ukraine. One of them is Octavia, and the other is Rapid. These models took the first two positions in the rating. If you believe the research, then this is half of all search requests related to Auto Leaders.
If we talk about nominations, the Skoda Octavia is an "everyday" car. And the second leading representative of the Skoda family – Rapid is the winner in the nomination "Cars for the family".
Well, the Mercedes-BenzS closes the top three. This model won in the nomination "Cars for business".
The main intrigue at the award ceremony was the BMW 5 Series model. It was nominated as a "car for business people". However, the AudiA5 Sportback model won in this category. As a result, the BMW 5 Series was recognized as the "Absolute Auto Leader". But despite the fact that after an hour this car was not in the top three, it is still one of the most desirable. The fourth place in this rating rightfully belongs to her.
Also, the name "CitroenC3" is often present in requests. And in December, it was recognized as the best "car for the city".
Ukrainian Internet users and car enthusiasts also show great interest in cars of the future, that is, in those that use an electric motor. And this cannot but please. After all, the high interest in ecologically clean transport indicates that many people understand the seriousness of the problem that humanity is forced to face today. It is, of course, about pollution of the environment with poisonous exhaust gases, which include carbon dioxide. And it is he who poses the greatest danger to our atmosphere, as it contributes to the strengthening of the greenhouse effect and the global increase in temperature on the planet. The VolvoXC90 T8 model became the leader in the "Electric cars and hybrids" category. In the ranking, which was compiled during the study of search queries of Ukrainians, this car was placed in the 7th position, that is, above the middle.
The most interesting thing is the fact that the Mercedes-AMGGTR model, which won the "Best Sports Car" nomination, ranked only 14th in this ranking. This refutes the statement that everyone dreams of sports cars. It turns out that not only do they not dream about them, but they are not even really interested in them.
The VolkswagenCrafter and AudiSQ7 models are in the last two places in the rating. – the best "commercial car" and the best "large SUV", respectively.
