There are many "legends" about how to repair a broken phone yourself. However, most of these useless tips mislead inexperienced users and can seriously damage the mobile device.

Myth 1: you can dry a wet phone

On the Internet, you can find many articles on how to "save" a wrapped phone by placing it in a container with rice, drying it with a hair dryer or using a battery, but in fact these methods do not always work.

First, turn off the wet phone and let it dry on a paper towel. Never charge a device that has been in water. The performance of the phone will depend on how long it has been in water and how much moisture it has managed to absorb. Myth 2: phones can be submerged under water

Myth 4: scratches on the screen can be easily repaired

Specialists do not recommend doing this. Such measures can have only a short-term effect or even damage the screen and its internal components. If the scratches are minor, it is better to glue a special silicone glass - it will hide the scratches and protect the screen. If, when connecting the gadget to the outlet, small cracks appeared on it, then the safest thing to do is to replace the screen with a new one.

Myth 5: it is not necessary to change the screen of a cracked phone

Myth 8: you can save money and install non-original spare parts

In cheap private companies, when repairing smartphones, they use non-original spare parts that can disrupt the normal operation of the phone. When installing non-original spare parts, the phone risks not being able to withstand voltage surges, charging unevenly or heating up a lot, and a powerful charger can damage the internal parts of the gadget.
