All these decorative items require certain care and protection from the aggressive effects of changes in temperature and humidity furniture shield.
A time-proven way to preserve your garden ornaments is to cover them with oil paint with high water-repellent properties, which will be able to adequately protect the products and extend their service life. The technology of painting products is very simple. Let's immediately note that if you decide to cover your jewelry with oil paint, you do not need a preliminary primer. Two layers of paint will be quite enough to create a reliable protective coating.
You will need a roller, a brush, oil paint, personal protective equipment, and you also need to prepare polyethylene or newspapers to put on the work surface - this will facilitate its cleaning after painting.
First, the figurine, bench, or table must be sanded with medium-grit sandpaper. After that, the wood dust should be swept with a broom or vacuumed thoroughly.
They are first painted with a roller once, after which the product is allowed to dry. We recommend that you use a roller for basic work, as it provides a more even and smooth painting than a brush. After 12 hours, cover the product again with paint. After you have completed the main work with the roller, use a brush to paint hard-to-reach places. Dry the product and after 12 hours repeat the painting procedure with a brush.
It is not recommended to cover the product with varnish, as this material is unstable to the effects of moisture and temperature changes, so the surface painted with it will soon lose its aesthetic properties and deteriorate, as the varnish will crack and peel off. For better preservation of the product, we recommend you to choose paints of European production, for example, Finnish.
The layer of paint will smooth out the aggressive effects of the environment for two years. Therefore, after two years, you will need to repaint the product in two layers. The surface will also need to be sanded, removing the top layer of the coating, after which oil paint should be applied again.

The price-quality ratio is also the most favorable for the consumer, precisely in pine. Products from other types of wood will cost much more and, in addition, they may lose their shape and external attractiveness.
