All Russians associate Yalta with the glitz and glamor of the resort bomondo, with cinema and festivals, in a word with very high-quality recreation. Perhaps this is so, but the first thing a tourist visiting Yalta will encounter is a traffic jam. A large, slow-flowing traffic jam. Yalta's roads and transport interchanges are in a deplorable condition, entire lanes of the roadway in the center are used as paid parking lots, but it is not always possible to get to them. If you, like many other tourists, arrived in Simferopol by plane, then it will be most convenient to choose not a bus or a rental car, but a comfortable taxi Simferopol - Yalta with an experienced driver who will quickly and comfortably take you to the coast.

The center does not make a special impression due to the fact that small houses are hidden in the greenery, and ugly unfinished high-rise buildings tower over it, spoiling the picture. But if you go to the embankment, where there is a better view, a magnificent picture opens up. The majestic rocks of Ai-Petra, a mountain massif overhanging Yalta, the highest in Crimea, make a fantastic impression with their peaks clinging to the clouds. The trees above seem like elements of some adventure film about an impenetrable jungle. On the other hand, an incredibly beautiful sea. The embankment of Yalta is very wide, there are many entertainment establishments, shops, and attractions on it. The small port looks picturesque. A tourist can choose a sea trip in any direction that interests him, both on a pleasure boat, where he will be given an interesting lecture on the history of Yalta, and on a private boat or yacht. The surroundings are very interesting to see from the sea. Gardens, huge rocks, palaces of Levadia and Oreanda will leave an unforgettable impression. Not far from Yalta is the main postcard attraction of Crimea, the Swallow's Nest Palace. The boat takes tourists to a cozy bay at the foot of the rock on which the palace is located and leaves them for a while. A steep stone staircase leads to the observation deck with an excellent view and to the gates of the palace itself. The palace is now closed to visitors due to the collapse of the rock on which it stands, and it does not make a special impression up close. Actually, it is not a palace, but a closed gazebo with built-in porticos, but from below, from the sea, it looks very interesting. For this type of advice, it is worth going on this excursion. Returning to Yalta, you can dine on Black Sea fish dishes in local restaurants. Special preference is for Black Sea flounder and bream, very tasty fish. Also, you must go on an excursion to Ai-Petra. Look at Yalta from the observation deck at an altitude of 1200 meters and admire the large Uchan-Su waterfall. You can go up to the top either by car along a winding but very picturesque road, or in a funicular cable car, from which you can see a simply insanely beautiful view. The tourist must also visit the tasting rooms of the Massandrovsky winery, the oldest in Crimea, and enjoy the original taste of the most famous dessert wines.
