At the XNUMXth international scientific conference on the problems of the development of economy and society, held at the "Higher School of Economics" National University, the president of JSC "Izdatelstvo "Prosveschenie" Vladimir Uzun announced a new project of digital modernization of schools - "Digital Format Schools". The idea of the program is to adapt educational programs to the changed high-tech world. Now the project is at the stage of development and search for financing. "However, financial models and road maps for these projects are already ready," Vladimir Uzun shared.
Publishing house "Education" became the organizer and leader of the "Digital Format School" project as the largest educational integrator paying significant attention to the development of the education system in Russia. Using the latest methodological recommendations and world studies of the educational process, "Enlightenment" is developing a new training scheme. It consists in the fact that the provided educational materials should complement each other as much as possible, forming the student's basic orientation to the profession. For example, the program for a child who wants to become a doctor is not focused on providing a general course in chemistry, biology, and anatomy, but on a complex and in-depth approach to medicine as such.
Olga Koroteeva, professor of the department of economics and management in the sphere of services of SPbGEU, head of the department of design and implementation of educational programs of ITMO University, explained that the digital modernization of schools is necessary: "If we look at the atlas of future professions, we will see that most of them will be related to work in digital medium. Even professions that today are considered traditional will experience a certain transformation in the near future, within 5-10 years, associated with the use of digital technologies in everyday professional activity. Therefore, in order to prepare today's students for work and life in the conditions of the digital economy, the skills of working with information, data processing, etc. it is necessary to form starting from the school bench".
Publishing house "Prosveschenie" presented tools for achieving maximum efficiency of new programs, including specialized educational equipment; the educational and methodological complex (UMK), in particular, paper and digital products prepared with the use of specific equipment; teacher training programs for research work with this equipment. And also supervision – methodical and informational support of the project by end users of personnel (higher and secondary special educational institutions, personnel organizations).
Alexey Polovynkin, director of the online school "Foxford", which participates in the work of the expert council on the development of the "Digital Format School", shared information about the progress of the project: "In September 2018, we will present free tools for 220 teachers of grades 000-5 on all the main subjects of the school curriculum. This will be a training system with online simulators, visual training statistics and interactive lesson scenarios. Any teacher in Russia will be able to use this system."
Specialists from the Prosveschenie publishing house are working to take the best of the "digital school" projects around the world and optimize them to the best of our country's capabilities. In their opinion, digital format schools should be located in every region and be accessible to all sections of the population. Creating equal educational opportunities for Russian children will be a powerful impetus for the development of the country's economy. "On the expanses of our vast country, quite a lot of schools are located far from advanced scientific and educational centers. The creation of a common digital space will ensure equal access to the best educational resources, courses and form a unified educational environment," explained Olga Koroteeva.
According to the plan of the Prosveschenie publishing house, digital format schools will become a kind of "bridge" between the systems of compulsory and additional education. Education of children in educational institutions of the new generation will take place according to a completely different scheme - it is not aimed at demonstrating to students the achievements of science and technology, but at their practical application in the educational and research process. Thus, children will receive the education and skills needed both for universities and educational institutions of secondary vocational education, and for subsequent work.
Observations of the labor market, where serious problems are already noticeable, led to the idea of creating such a complex and multi-stage project. Thus, due to long-term training of personnel that is disconnected from the real needs of the market, employers often have to engage in retraining themselves. The very fact of the presence of corporate universities, educational courses and trainings indicates the existence of a need for specific skills that cannot be satisfied by the current education system. According to Vladimir Uzun, such schools are most needed by high school students who are just on the path to choosing a career.
In the senior classes of schools in Great Britain, attachment to future professions is a mandatory factor. Each educational institution has its own "career department". He helps each student in the formation of a study plan for the profession he has chosen. In total, you can take up to five recessed items. Final grades for exams in these disciplines affect admission to a university.
Special attention is paid to the use of high technologies in schools in Israel. Yes, almost every educational institution has several varieties of well-equipped laboratories where students can conduct experiments and invent. State competitions are even organized for high school students, where they can show off their talents.
Alexey Polovynkin told how individual education under the Digital Format Schools program will look like: "Instead of one teacher, who now works simultaneously with the whole class and focuses on the average level of knowledge, there will be 30 personal training systems and a teacher-tutor. Each child will be able to master the school program at his own pace, work with the educational platform individually, independently of others. The whole world has been talking about and understands the need for individualization of the educational process for a long time - it's time to take concrete steps."
The question that remains is how quickly Russian schoolchildren will be able to switch to individual training plans. But it is possible to say for sure that in the case of successful implementation of the "Digital Format School" under the project of the "Enlightenment" publishing house, this time will come already in the very near future.
